Kelly Clarkson is an American artist and singer. She has become the nation's favorite when she won the American Idol title in the first season of the show. It was not just hugely successful however, it also secured the singer a contract to record several albums with RCA Records 19 Recordings & S Records. From her first appearance, she released numerous albums. From those, three reached number one on the US Billboard 200. The other albums came close to the top spot. She's one of the most successful artists to come out of The American Idol series. In order to achieve success she played around with various genres of music and experimented with subjects. Her work was praised by critics and several high-profile awards for her uniqueness as well as her singing talent. Most notably she has won Grammy Awards three times. Grammy Award three times. Alongside her career in music, she has also appeared in movies and television shows. She is also the author of the novel for children called River Rose and the Magical Lullaby and is involved in numerous charitable organisations.
