Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the daughter of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, an multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk was the daughter of a British father and an English-Turkish Cypriot mother. While still a small child, she was featured in a variety of commercials.
